Introducing Mag. Amra Dedic – Brand And Event Manager at Lexogen
Meet Amra, our Brand And Event Manager at Lexogen. “I studied Communication Science at the Main University of Vienna and my initial goal was always to tell stories. Whether it’s through visuals, videos, or the written word, I wanted to make storytelling possible. Branding, in essence, is storytelling. I aim to provide people with a platform to express themselves. It’s fulfilling to do this at Lexogen because I believe everything you do reflects a part of yourself. And i bring a certain female perspective to the table, offering insights that others might not have. Lexogen allows me to flourish my creativity and I feel valued and understood here.”

Introducing Dr. Yvonne Goepel – Product Manager at Lexogen
Meet Yvonne, our passionate Product Manager, whose journey into research is nothing short of inspiring! “When I was studying biology at the University of Göttingen, I found my niche somewhere in between molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, immunology, and human genetics. My graduate studies were an adventure investigating a mechanism essential in various commensal and pathogenic Bacteria. It all started with an already complex cascade of two regulatory RNAs and eventually led me to a fascinating regulatory protein with a combination of functions previously unheard of. This showed how complex even “simple” life forms can be and that we are still far from understanding the mechanisms of life. Transitioning from a doctorate to a postdoc in Vienna, I continued to work with more global techniques, including RNA sequencing. During that time I encountered Lexogen: marking a significant shift from academic research to assay development enabling fellow researchers to drive their discoveries and collectively grow our understanding of life. After two years in R&D, I assumed the role of Product Manager, where I now act as an ambassador of researchers needs and aid the development of innovative products through our phenomenal R&D. For me, science was always about connection and exchange, learning more about a project, looking at it from different angles, and finding the right solution to answer scientific questions. Collaborating with passionate researchers sparks new ideas and drives innovation forward. It’s an exciting ride where new questions arise at every turn and learning is a constant!”

Introducing Paul Lariviere – General Manager US at Lexogen
Meet Paul. As the General Manager of Lexogen’s INC – US Subsidiary, Paul brings passion and dedication to every aspect of his role. “It all started with a logistical challenge at a conference,” Paul recalls with a smile. “I ensured Manner Schnitten made it to attendees after customs delayed delivery, which led to a fateful meeting with Alexander Seitz.” From that moment, Paul’s trajectory shifted – from being a consultant for Lexogen to 2014 when he played a pivotal role in launching Lexogen Inc, marking a significant milestone with their first US sale. “What began as a singular responsibility grew into establishing a subsidiary,” Paul explains. “On my own in 2014 to 2016, I nurtured our growth the next few years, building a strong team.” For Paul, Lexogen INC is more than a business venture; it’s his passion, project and legacy. “I’ve poured my heart into ensuring its success, and I want to see it succeed.”

Introducing Mantas Survilla, PhD – Senior Research Scientist at Lexogen
Meet Mantas, our Senior Research Scientist – “For me, being a researcher is the one thing I really want to do. Seeing something that nobody has ever seen before is very addictive, and if success comes, extremely rewarding. Research in the lab may sound catchy, but also may turn out to be monotonous, using the same methods day after day. However, I’ve been working at Lexogen for the past five years, and thanks to the freedom I have in my daily activities as an independent thinker, these years have flown by like a twinkle. This symbiosis has built my self-confidence to develop novel technologies and implement new processes. Today, I can do research I couldn’t have imagined five years ago. I’m very curious to see how the products we develop at Lexogen can contribute to tackling difficult questions in biology globally.”
